Purgatory
The stage before death is unknown, but some believe we exist in a state of purgatory before we move on to the afterlife. In this simple existence, the protagonists get to review his life and understand how his actions and experiences affect the ones he held dear.
My Involvement
Purgatory is a first-person side scroller that was submitted for the Global Game Jam 2019. You play as a character who must battle his inner demons to cleanse his soul and find his way home to pass onto the afterlife in peace. We took the theme "what does home mean to you?" and looked into domestic violence and how it can affect people in their later life. During this game jam, I created all of the art assets and designed the narrative behind the game.
